Student Medical Services
Student Medical Services at UNF focuses on the delivery of primary care in the promotion of health and the prevention of health risks. It is located in the Robinson Student Life Center, Room 1501. Comprehensive services for students include: full-time registered physician and nurses, on-campus medical provider 40 hours a week (by appointment only), first aid, health maintenance and education, health promotion programs, LIFE Program (Lifestyle Improvement and Drug Information Center) which assists students and others in making positive lifestyle changes, fitness testing, and health screening at the Dottie Dorian Fitness Center.
Florida Statute 339 section 1006.69 (effective January 2003) requires that all residence hall students get immunized against meningococcal disease and hepatitis B or sign a waiver stating they have received information from the university about the risks of both diseases and availability and efficacy of the vaccines. Failure to get the vaccinations or sign the waiver will result in students being unable to check-in to his or her assigned unit.
